Helvét napló

I have just read a very boring paper which tested the rational model of work-family conflict hypothesis and the job strain model hypothesis using multivariate analysis, published in a very high ranking journal. The authors got a surprising result: single mothers report no more overload than do their married counterparts. I suppose that they were not able to explain their surprising result since the last sentence of their paper is “As one mother noted, “Half my problems walked out the door when he left.”” It was worth reading it, I have learned a lot. :-)
